I am the shit. Don't step in me. However, you may put me in a paper bag and light the bag on fire and leave me on some asshole's doorstep. That's fine.

If you haven't played it...DO IT.
It's by far, my favorite time-waster game on NG.
Toss the Turtle

My Current Stats:
Distance Record: 4,053,725.5 Feet
Medals: All but "Diamond Goomba" and "Drivers License"

And now a question...for anyone who might have played this and gotten as much or hopefully more than I have...
Is there an issue with the medals appearing on your NG medals page?
Because though I achieved both the "100 Miles" & "Obsession:Play 5 hours" medals IN GAME...nothing is showing up on my NG medals page past "Addicted:Play 2 Hours" & "50 Miles".
It's confusing.
I looked in the thread devoted to the game, but no one has even posted there in awhile.
Any info would be helpful.

No one reads these things anyway...this is just so I can stop looking at OLD news.

I did this thing with Build A Robot III.

No news is GOOD news...right?

So I made an entry for the Forums Sig of the Week contest...
In my haste, I accidentally posted one of my early scratch efforts rather than the finished Sig in the contest.
Because of the lack of ability to edit forum posts, I was unable to replace it and thought, "Oh well, I'll just post the right one in my portfolio..."
Well, of course...that got deleted...because I have the NewGrounds logo in the picture...
(insert blank look here)

So here it is, in a place I know it won't be deleted...though you wont be seeing it in all its transparent PNG glory, since I can't upload a PNG here...
(insert second blank look here)
Just be aware that the black background should be transparent...

Here is the Sig that AntiAndy built...

Though it lost me some reviews, I decided to re-upload my original "Tree of Something" drawing so that it would be bumped right next to its "sequel", and people can do a little comparison on it.
Let's make it worthwhile....thanks. :D

This is going to be a diatribe that almost no one will read, I'm sure.
But I am not doing anything at the moment and I feel like ranting...

These are in no particular order of annoyance..just kind of free-flowing thoughts...

Art Portal Interface

When I am going through a users portfolio, and I want to vote or write a review, and then I click "Next" to see their next piece after doing so...it's ridiculous that after viewing THAT piece that I have to click their name and then once again click "See All" to once again get back on track reviewing their art.
This is also an issue when checking my OWN portfolio for reviews, which leads me to my next gripe...
Why are there not notification options for reception of a new comment(review)?
Having to go through my entire portfolio, only to see that I have only gotten one review,(or none), is tedious.
And that brings me to something that is NOT NGs fault...something I have mentioned in here before...

ESPECIALLY those of you who are also artists in your own right, which from what I can tell, comprises more than 95% of my reviews.
I realize that people have real lives...things to do...places to be...etc.
I further realize that NG is NOT specifically an art site, like deviantArt or Artician are...and therefore maybe some of the people here aren't doing more than killing a little time or whatever.
I know from seeing other artists portfolios that I am not the only one this is happening to, so maybe it really is just lack of interest.
But WHY is it that you may get one or 2 comments, then maybe 10 votes on a piece and it just STOPS??
It's obvious that a ton of people are simply looking at the Art Portal homepage, checking maybe the first couple of pages of most recently uploaded pieces and looking at those, but not anything else in the artists portfolio.
I get it if you just dont have time to look at more than a few pieces and therefore want to give equal time to various artists, but jeeez...it's kinda disheartening to see that the piece I uploaded yesterday has a review and a vote or 2, but then none of my older work has even been viewed.
I guess I am just expecting people to be like me and go through an artists entire portfolio...at the very least clicking on a few thumbnails that look good even if not seeing every piece.
I try to keep my portfolio small for that reason.
Oh well.
I am out of steam now. :P

...that there was a way to promote the art in a fashion that made more people come and comment, etc.
It seems like the only comments received are because when you first upload, you appear on the front page of the "just uploaded" section and people come and look at those but never the other works posted. And then, once more people have uploaded and pushed you off the front page...people stop coming to see them at all.

Maybe I just need to be better? o_O

I hate when I'm looking at a really good piece and it has no description whatsoever.
I know that not necessarily everyone can transmit their thought and creation processes into words...and I don't always myself.
But I usually at least try to offer technical information and describe the tools I used.
Let's try to make the most of this Art Portal and maybe it can be expanded, eh? :D
